Delta Leaves Behind Damage, Outages In Mississippi

Forecasters say the breezy conditions over much of Mississippi will continue to subside Saturday evening as Delta now downgraded to a Post-Tropical Cyclone continues to move across northeast Mississippi.  It crossed the Mississippi River from Louisiana Saturday morning, quickly weakening to a tropical depression and has continue to lose some of its punch.  As of 2 pm Saturday, more than 47-thousand homes and businesses in the state were without power after hundreds of trees were knocked down across western Mississippi. Adams County was hit especially hard.
