Health Department Prepares To Regulate Medical Marijuana

The State Health Department says it's in the "planning stages" for Mississippi's new medical marijuana program. Voters approved a constitutional amendment this week to authorize the program. The Health Department says it's been researching programs in other states for months and it intends to have all regulations in place by next August. It's promising to keep the public informed as it sets up the framework for production of medical marijuana and its sale in licensed dispensaries in Mississippi.
