Jewish Leaders Urge Faithful To Have Smaller Seders

Coronavirus Pandemic Causes Climate Of Anxiety And Changing Routines In America

Jewish leaders are urging their faithful to celebrate Passover this week with smaller Seders because of coronavirus.

Rabbi Noam Marans with the American Jewish Committee says most responsible leadership is asking that Seders should be with people within the household.

Marans says we can make this the most meaningful Passover of our lifetimes. He was asked about the Jewish funerals in Brooklyn and in New Jersey. The rabbi says no religious practices are allowed to interfere with the preservation of life and that means keeping social distancing.
