Senator Al Franken is under growing pressure to resign as he faces a growing number of accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior. According to MPR News, Franken will heed the calls and is going to announce his resignation on Thursday.
Franken has apologized for the encounters, which occurred before he became a senator. At the Capitol, New York Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand said the behavior is simply not acceptable. Gillibrand is on a growing list of Democratic senators urging Franken to step down. The list includes most of the women in the Senate Democratic caucus and DNC Chairman Tom Perez.
