Teen Survives After Being Pushed Off 60-Foot Bridge

A 16-year-old girl is lucky to be alive after she was shoved off a 60-foot bridge at Moulton Falls Regional Park in Washington State. Video of the shocking incident shows Jordan Holgerson showing some trepidation about diving off a cliff into the water below. As she stands near the edge, not ready to jump, one of her friends pushes her and she falls awkwardly into the water below. She can be heard hitting the water with a sickening thud as the video cuts off.

Jordan broke five ribs, suffered a bruised esophagus, injured her trachea, and punctured her lung. Her mother told the Longview Daily News that Jordan "is lucky she is not paralyzed or dead" and did not suffer any permanent injuries in the fall.

The woman who pushed Jordan has since apologized, but both Jordan and her mother do not believe that is enough.

“I’m very upset with her. She is an adult, and I’m sure she should have known better. She could have killed my daughter.”

They are asking for the woman to do the right thing and turn herself in to the police, who are investigating the incident. Authorities said that it is illegal to jump off the bridge because it is extremely dangerous, but according to the New York Post, a few people try every year, and in some cases need to be rescued.
