Jason Smith and Mike Harmon break it down as Ohio State dominates Notre Dame 34-23 in the College Football National Championship. The guys react to the Buckeyes' commanding performance and debate whether or not the national championship outcome was a surprise.
Jason Smith:
“This game is not a surprise. Alright, Ohio State vs. Notre Dame sounds great, but there’s a reason the spread was nearly 10 points. Ohio State has a $100 million roster—they’re better everywhere. They’re better on offense, they’re better on defense, they’re deeper, they have better recruits... they’re just better everywhere!”
Mike Harmon:
“34-23, your final. They cover that big number, but for the Buckeyes, this is what you expected. And just think— a year ago, they wouldn’t have been in this dance. They would have been left at the doorstep, just like Alabama and all those other squads!”
